Kildare-Based Engineers Making Irish Water Connections Simple
Based in Naas, Co. Kildare, we are trusted by self-builders, SME developers, and architects nationwide. With over 20 years’ experience, our team of Irish engineers has secured Confirmations of Feasibility for thousands of units — from single self-build homes to major developments. Both Uisce Éireann (Irish Water) and local authorities recommend confirming the feasibility of a connection before finalising your design or submitting a planning application. For you, this involves only supplying your Eircode. We take care of everything else: procuring official maps, marking up service connection points, carrying out calculations, and preparing and submitting the Pre-Connection Enquiry to Uisce Éireann. You’ll receive a complete Feasibility Pack you can rely on for planning and design.
Why Clients Recommend Our Services
“The team were great — we received a connection offer within 4 weeks instead of the usual 16. That speed saved us a full quarter on the programme.”
Derek Murphy, Monarch Construction , 22 Duplex Units, Dundrum, Co. Dublin
“Irish Water originally suggested we connect 120 metres away, which meant traffic management, road closures, and a road opening licence on a busy route. The Pre-Connection Enquiries team identified an alternative point that saved us tens of thousands in cost and weeks of disruption.”
Sarah O’Neill, Land Options Ireland – 12 Houses, Kilkenny City
“From maps to calculations, everything was handled. We didn’t have to lift a finger — and the submission came back clean first time with no queries. That gave our funders huge confidence.”
John Kavanagh, Arkmount Developments – 45 Apartments, Cork City
“We needed clarity fast before submiting a planning appliation. The team had our pack ready in under 10 days and managed the process right through to confirmation. It kept our crews moving without delay.”
Emily Walsh, Elite Groundworks – 6 Townhouses, Galway City
“I thought I’d need to hire an architect and pay for surveys before even applying. Instead, I just gave the Eircode and they did the rest. Michael Byrne, Self-Builder – One-Off Killiney, Dublin
“We have received applications from this team for a number of years. Submissions are consistently accurate and well prepared, enabling feasibility decisions to be made with minimal delay or follow-up.”
Patrick O’Connor, Senior Connections Engineer, Uisce Éireann
Key Questions About Our Services
1. What is a Pre-Connection Enquiry (PCE)?
A Pre-Connection Enquiry is the first step in confirming if your site can connect to public water and wastewater networks. Uisce Éireann (Irish Water) issue a Confirmation of Feasibility (CoF) after reviewing the maps, layouts, and demand/discharge calculations we submit on your behalf.
2. Why do I need to submit an application for confirmation of feasibility before I submit a planning application?
Without a Confirmation of Feasibility, your planning application risks delays, conditions, or outright refusal. Getting your PCE sorted first gives certainty that services are available — saving you from spending thousands on designs and surveys that may not be viable.
3. What services do you offer ?
We handle the entire process end-to-end:
- Source folio and OS maps
- Complete water demand and foul Discharge calculations
- Identify preferred connection points
- Submit and manage your Pre Connection Enquiry with Uisce Éireann
- Deliver your feasibility pack and advise on next steps if issues arise
- All we need from you is the Eircode.
4. How long does the process take?
We can gather all the information, complete the calculations, and submit your Pre-Connection Enquiry within 7–10 days of receiving your site details.
Uisce Éireann (Irish Water) can take up to 16 weeks to issue a Confirmation of Feasibility. However, in our experience, when everything is submitted correctly, it can often be returned sooner.
If the application isn’t prepared properly, Irish Water will come back with queries — which extends the timeline and delays your project. That’s why getting it right first time is critical.
